Sales pitch was wonderful and got me into classes quickly. From the beginning, I was overwhelmed with topic material. Classes went very fast. For Student support we were only referred back to the instructors for help. It was frustrating at times. The Tuesday night office hours were extremely beneficial and the Thursday workshops for small group breakouts for discussions and better understanding was great. I’d like to see some sort of student manual that we can refer back to, weekly assignments/practice not just the Thursday workshops. I’d also like to see the actual answers to the assignments… screen shot of phython/sql code. I’d like to see some sort of student center for tutoring or where additional references could be found on the topic. I ordered additional books on each topic but what recommendations are better. Having an additional reference area would be great. For example hosting an orientation session with student one week from class start date to get everything downloaded, pre-reading identified, q&a done. That would have helped me out. Both Phyton and sql system were very problematic for me so that created a lot of stress because you are trying to follow the class discussion by doing hand on typing but are having technical issues with the platforms. A better discussion upfront on how Discord worked. How Google drive was utilized, etc. if there was a student center where we could connect to get some of this issues worked on outside of class would have been better. Example: I was having issues with Juypter and I was pulled from class to work on it. I landed up having to use Jupiter lab but I missed the entire class discussion. Notes were posted on Discord but trying to catch up was hard. Things finally started connecting when I got to work on an actual project for the mid-term. The final project was fun as well. Connecting the dots really helped me. I’m glad that I stuck with it but it was definitely harder than I expected and took some time to finish. Overall, even through the frustration, the course was great.
This was a great course. The teachers were always engaged and active for questions, I got a lot of knowledge from this course alone. If you are looking for a good course for data analytics, this is the one.
I truly enjoyed my experience with Upright Education; I recently completed the Data Analytics Bootcamp. As a working professional looking to transition into a new field of work, this course fit perfectly with my needs. The course was fast-paced, which was expected given the bootcamp style of learning. We learned three coding languages in a matter of several weeks as well as some of the fundamental mathematics behind it all. Our professor, James-Lee Meredith, was extremely knowledgeable in the field and made the course material very accessible. I thoroughly enjoyed being in class every day with James at the helm. Our TA, Weston Weaver, was also an excellent resource for more learning and made himself available any time we needed extra help. At the end of the course, I feel very well prepared to enter the data analytics field. This experience has also bolstered my enthusiasm to learn more and expand into generative AI and data science. Shout out to Maxwell Lyons as well; as part of the Upright Learner Support Team, he was and continues to be extremely helpful and responsive to any of my needs as a student. Cheers UprightEd team, thank you for an excellent learning experience. -Brad P

I lucked out and got reassigned to a FANTASTIC teacher/TA team. She was very thorough through all modules. However, teachers need to be vetted better as my first instructor was so horrible it made it feel like I’d been scammed out of money. However, the dean listened to my complaints/concerns and switched me to a different cohort without a bunch of hassle. My only other complaint is that you can tell the DA program wasn’t created by DA’s, and more than once my teacher’s small reactions or tiny comments here and there made it clear that she did not agree with certain assignments or coursework. It seems like suggestions and real-life experience aren’t taken into account when planning the program/cohort.
I had a very positive experience with the Data Analytics program. The content was well-structured and practical, covering essential topics such as data visualization, statistical analysis, and the use of popular tools like Excel, SQL, and Python. What made the experience even more valuable was the teacher’s approach: they were knowledgeable, patient, and always available to answer questions. Their clear explanations and real-world examples helped me better understand complex concepts and gain confidence in applying what I learned.
The teacher was extremely knowledgeable and helped teach the concepts in a way that stuck. I don't know if I honestly feel comfortable with a job with just the basic knowledge. I am extremely happy with the concepts I did learn and would have liked more practice time.
The professors were always willing to help and explain things further if needed. The community discord was very helpful as well with support from others.
One of the worst so called Educational Institutions “Upright Education “do not waste your money and time becoming enrolled with this one of the worthless educational institutions .
I really appreciated the level of depth and pacing of the course. I started the course with no background in data analytics and was able to get a solid understanding complex machine learning systems by the end. My instructor was incredibly knowledgeable in the field and was able to help those with even less computer literacy than me understand the concepts.
I loved every moment of my time at Upright! Going through a bootcamp is challenging, but my instructor and TA were incredibly helpful. From lectures to office hours to assignment feedback, I felt like this bootcamp prepared me not only to get a job, but also to continue teaching myself more!
Enrolling in Upright Education was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my professional development. I started the program with little formal experience in data analytics, but through the well-structured curriculum, hands-on projects, and above all, the incredible guidance of my instructor and cohort, I not only completed the course successfully—I transformed my entire career trajectory. Shortly after graduating, I was offered a position within the Upright team itself. This opportunity allowed me to contribute to the same supportive learning environment that had helped me grow. Simultaneously, I was able to define a brand-new role at my primary workplace, eventually earning a promotion and a significant pay increase. Thanks to Upright, I now have the confidence, skills, and momentum to continue advancing as a data analyst. The program didn’t just teach me technical skills—it gave me a community, a clearer direction, and a renewed sense of purpose. If you’re serious about changing your career and willing to put in the work, Upright Education will meet you there—and then some.
The projects we did were great for solidifying concepts we've learned, but also pushed us as a class to find our own answers to questions. Throughout the whole experience, instructional staff were there to help answer technical questions, but more importantly, they pushed all of us to start thinking more like developers. This course pushed my career forward and gave me the tools to continue my software development journey with confidence. Thanks so much to Rob, Elena, Ben, and Paul, I couldn't have done it without you!!
Overall, the UX/UI Course I took through Upright was good. I learned a great deal and thoroughly enjoyed my cohort. It was an upskill for me, so I came into the course with 15 years of professional design experience, which made it easier for me to jump into. I recommend having a basic understanding of design principles. I also recommend having a basic knowledge of Figma before starting this course.

The program I took was intermediate-level, not beginner-friendly, which made it difficult for me to secure a job or internship. I’m not alone many of my classmates feel the same way. When I initially inquired whether the course was suitable for beginners, I was told it was. However, I now find myself burdened with nearly $10,000 in debt and still struggling to grasp essential data analyst concepts, who would hire me in this position? I encourage others to start with free or affordable resources like YouTube, Coursera, or Udemy to build foundational knowledge before investing in a bootcamp. Personally, I feel trapped by the financial strain of this decision for the next three years.
