Extremely Disappointed with Thornclif’s Service and Attitude
I’ve been a regular customer of Thornclif, ordering 47kg gas bottle deliveries for my catering business at least twice a month for several months. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing. During the last delivery, I noticed the gas bottle seemed unusually light and that the valve was already open upon inspection. It was unclear whether it was delivered this way or left open by the delivery person, but it certainly raised concerns. When I called to place the next order and mentioned the issue, the customer service response was shocking. The lady on the phone dismissed my concern outright, claiming they “never deliver half bottles,” and then abruptly ended the call before we had finished speaking. I called again, hoping to speak to someone more helpful, but the man who answered showed the same lack of interest, refused to address the issue, and also disconnected the line when I asked to speak to a manager. Eventually, I received a call from someone who I assume was a manager. Unfortunately, instead of listening and trying to resolve the issue, he reiterated the same scripted response and told me they would no longer deliver to my business. He refunded my latest payment, paid for the next delivery, but failed to address what had actually happened with the previous delivery. This experience was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I had even been considering using Thornclif for additional services, such as skip hire, but will now be taking my business elsewhere. I cannot recommend Thornclif to anyone who values customer service or accountability.
