Bárbara is a fantastic teacher! I genuinely look forward to our weekly classes because I can see real progress in my Brazilian Portuguese. Her lessons are not only effective, they’re also a lot of fun. Bárbara strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and a relaxed, friendly approach. She has a real talent for making you feel confident and engaged, without ever feeling overwhelmed.
If you’re thinking about learning Portuguese with that authentic Brazilian touch, I honestly can’t recommend her enough. She’s simply brilliant.

I'm really enjoying learning Brazilian Portuguese with my Speak Brazil teacher, Barbara.
She does a great job of making it feel personal even though it is online. It is a fun learning environment where she encourages and lightly challenges me to practice and speak.

Professional, creative and dedicated teaching
I completed a two-week intensive online course with Speak Brazil, and it was excellent. The varied programme of specially devised material was very thoroughly prepared, with creativity and attention to detail. The course made good use of the possibilities offered by working online, including quizzes, presentations, music and video. A blend of interesting topics on Brazilian culture was cleverly linked to well-chosen language teaching points. The teachers, who worked very well together as a team, are highly professional, enthusiastic and lots of fun! I was a teacher of English as a foreign language for many years, which means I can be very critical, and from a professional perspective I can say the standard of teaching and material was very high. All in all, I thoroughly recommend Speak Brazil!
Uma boa escola e professora - eu recomendo!
As aulas com Professora Bárbara estão interessante e ela é muito simpática. Eu tive aulas desde Setembro 2019 - ao primeiro no Lisboa na 'Curso de Verão' e depois, aulas online. Eu aprendi muito Português durante isto tempo - expandi meu vocabulário, melhorei minha fluência e aprendi muitas coisas sobre cultura do Brasil. Gosto muito, obrigada Speak Brazil :)
