Savage Axis 350 Legend Reviews

Works well for deer hunting. Accurate enough and the cartridge has good stopping power.

Got this for my son's first hunting rifle. The good: lightweight, easy to handle, and the 350 Legend is great for whitetail. The not so good: the factory trigger is pretty heavy and the bolt can be stiff at times. Still a solid choice for the price point, just don't expect premium features.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do without breaking the bank. Great for new hunters.

You get what you pay for, and in this case that's a functional hunting rifle that won't empty your wallet. The 350 Legend cartridge is effective on deer-sized game and recoil is very manageable. Not the smoothest action I've used but it gets the job done reliably.

Honestly didn't expect much for the price, but this little rifle has impressed me. Took it to the range and was getting consistent 2-inch groups at 100 yards with factory ammo. The 350 Legend cartridge is perfect for hunting in restricted areas. Build quality feels solid despite the budget price tag.

Picked this up for deer hunting this season and couldn't be happier. The 350 Legend cartridge is perfect for the areas I hunt with straight-wall restrictions. Accuracy is surprisingly good out of the box, and the action cycles smoothly. Only complaint is the trigger could be a bit crisper, but for the money, it's hard to beat.

The rifle shoots fine and the 350 Legend is a good cartridge, but I've had some feeding issues with certain brands of ammo. Customer service was helpful when I called about it. It's an okay rifle but I expected better reliability at this price point.

I needed a rifle for Ohio's straight-wall cartridge zones and this fit the bill perfectly. The 350 Legend has good knockdown power and manageable recoil. Rifle shoots well with factory ammo, though I did upgrade the scope that came with the package. The synthetic stock feels a bit cheap but it's functional and lightweight.

Perfect for someone getting into hunting or looking for an affordable rifle. The synthetic stock is lightweight and weather-resistant. Accuracy is adequate for hunting purposes, though serious target shooters might want something more refined.

Finally found a good option for hunting in areas that require straight-wall cartridges. The 350 Legend delivers good performance and the rifle handles it well. Stock feels a bit flimsy but it's held up fine so far. Would recommend for hunters in similar situations.

Bought this hoping for better accuracy than what I'm getting. Even with different ammo brands, I can't get consistent groups under 3 inches at 100 yards. The action feels rough and the trigger is heavy. Might be a lemon but it's been frustrating.

It's not fancy but it works. The 350 Legend has been effective on the deer I've taken with it. Bolt action is a bit rough but smoothed out some after breaking it in. For a budget rifle, it delivers decent performance where it counts.
