Ruger American Gen 2 Predator Reviews

Been using this for coyote hunting and it's been fantastic. The threaded barrel makes adding a suppressor easy, and the bolt action is smooth. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for an affordable precision rifle.

Used this rifle for a full season of prairie dog hunting with zero malfunctions. Consistently hits where I aim it and the barrel heats up slower than expected. The adjustable comb helps get a proper cheek weld with different scopes.

The rifle groups well at 100 yards but the stock flexes more than I'd like. Magazine release is awkward to reach and the safety location takes getting used to.

This rifle has exceeded my expectations. The accuracy is outstanding right out of the box, and the adjustable trigger is a nice touch. Only complaint is the stock feels a bit cheap, but for the money it's hard to beat.

The Gen 2 improvements over the original are noticeable. Better trigger, more rigid stock, and the threaded barrel is perfect for my suppressor. Great value in today's market.

While the accuracy is decent, I've had issues with the bolt sticking and the finish started wearing off after just a few months. Expected better quality control from Ruger.

Shoots sub-MOA groups with quality ammo. The adjustable stock is comfortable for long sessions.

The rifle shoots well and the price is reasonable. However, the magazine can be finicky to load and the bolt feels a bit rough compared to more expensive rifles. Still a decent choice for the money.

Accuracy is there when it wants to cooperate, but I've had feeding issues with certain ammunition types. Customer service was helpful but shouldn't have needed to contact them so soon after purchase.

Lightweight enough for all-day carries but accurate enough for ethical long shots. The muzzle brake really helps with recoil management.

This rifle has become my go-to for anything beyond 200 yards. The heavy barrel profile stays cool during extended shooting sessions and the action cycles smoothly. Topped with a good scope, it's capable of impressive precision. The only improvement I'd suggest is a better recoil pad.

This was my first bolt-action rifle and I couldn't be happier. The trigger breaks clean at around 3 pounds and the barrel is surprisingly accurate. The synthetic stock is lightweight which makes it great for carrying in the field. Only minor gripe is that the bolt handle could be a bit larger for easier manipulation with gloves.
