I only subscribed the digital edition which is great value, specially having in mind that it also grants access to the whole archive of NGM. Re. support I only have one complaint: every time I renew my subscription it takes 1 to 2 days until it is processed, meaning I loose access meanwhile. That's not an issue but I guess it would be so easy to include a warning on the subscription process and/or the confirmation e-mail I'm sent. And this mostly happens because I am supposed to receive a reminder e-mail a couple of months before expiration. Which I didn't get.

Very happy with the Customer support I've received, never had a "real" problem. The address change process is a little bit convoluted, especially for International subscribers, but once you've gotten through it you shouldn't have any further issues. Very happy with the content of the magazine, the Society reports on topical subjects that affect society globally in socioeconomic, cultural, and geographic ways. As well as ecological impact of humanity and how nature adapts.

    How to ruin an icon

purchased an online subscription. was billed $69, then $73. waited a few days thinking one charge would go away. Finally got a customer service rep in India or Philippines who could only say "I'm sorry" or "I do apologize" with every response. Words like "the system", "automatic", and "I am "just a service representative" strung together as only a non-native English speaker could do. Many organizations have excellent international customer service departments, but apparently no one at National Geographic possesses the critical thinking skills to evaluate their service.

I am a subscriber for 26 years and had two requests during this time resp. changing my address which both were done in less than an hour. I am more than pleased with the handle of my requests and for sure am still an enthusiastic reader of the National Geographic Magazine.

    Verrijk uw kennis

Als geschenk voor mijn 25ste verjaardag ontving ik een levenslang National Geographic-abonnement. Mijn leeftijd is nu 79. Nothing like having attentive people listen and understand your predicament. Rexel at Nat Geo was really that and was a testament to how customer service people should act. He resolved my issue in one phone call and you know when you hang up and have that wow feeling - it happened

I enjoyed reading passionately the NGM…

I enjoyed reading passionately the NGM since I was a teenager in the fifties. When I moved in the late sixties for my university graduation, I took a subsciption and still enjoy discovering and reading this magnificent magazine. I visited many times the NG premises in Washington DC, bought maps (including the flabergasting wall edition of the world map…) and when I read some of those surprising negative comments, honestly, my jaw hit the floor. Who in their right mind would want to cancel their subscription? With all the junk floating around out there, we should be throwing confetti for having a magazine actually worth reading! In the past 65 years, I think I’ve moved house more times than a hermit crab, but not once did I ever miss an issue—these things follow me better than my own shadow. As for delivery complaints? I find them more mysterious than a cat in a cardboard box. Honestly, to the marvelous team behind my favorite magazine: hats off and jazz hands for a job spectacularly done. I’m already counting down the days to the next issue—bring it on! Christian - Switzerland

Excellent customer service and reliable delivery

As a lifetime subscription holder, National Geographic reach out occasionally to check I'm still alive! I overlooked the last letter but got a speedy response when I emailed and immediate verification that the subscription would continue. Excellent customer service. In over 50 years they've reliably delivered every issue.
