Returned product weeks ago. Was given confirmation of receipt, just pending inspection. Following that, I was sent a picture of an empty box and was told that was proof they didnt receive my return. A return they set up to my apt for added security, disallowing me from returning and insuring myself. Stay away. Also, necklace was hallow and flimsy, which is why I was returning.

Most likely got scammed nearly $700

Wish I would’ve done more research on this business before hand, had I seen so many negative reviews outside of their main website I would’ve never purchased an item. Guess I learned the hard way to not buy jewelry online. I purchased a chain for nearly $700, when it arrived the box was already cut open and it was missing the item. After calling their phone number and telling what I’m assuming was customer service what had occurred, that I received a broken into box, they repeatedly suggested that maybe a family member stole it even after telling them multiple times I knew for a fact that didn’t happen. It wasn’t until I told them I would file a police report that the person I spoke to finally told me they would launch an investigation. 3 weeks later, I have heard nothing suggesting my investigation is actually being carried out. Despite me consistently emailing and calling, and the best I get is that they’re still investigating and awaiting a response, yet not telling me from who or what. I ask how the investigation process is being carried out or at what step they’re at, and whoever on the other side of the emails and phone calls is at can never give a substantive answer or just doesn’t know. I don’t know if I’ll ever get my money back, long story short if you want to avoid jeopardizing some solid money, do not shop for jewelry online and especially from here EDIT: 2 months now and 0 update. Do not buy from this company !!!!!

Pleasantly Surprised, Great Experience

There seem to be some negative reviews for this company, so I wanted to share my personal experience for my first order. I was looking for a new 14k solid yellow gold curb chain 1.6mm width (18-20” chain length depending on which I ended up liking better) for some new pendants. After review here I was concerned about the order I had already placed. However, I couldn’t be more pleased with my order. My order process was easy, and both shipping/delivery were extremely timely to my surprise. Upon arrival and inspection by myself and two separate jewelers, I received exactly what I ordered which were two solid 14k yellow gold curb chains (1.6mm width) 18 and 20” exactly as described, and in pristine condition. I obviously can’t speak for others, but wanted to share my experience. I would consider ordering from this company again if I had a need! Thanks!

Buyer beware their jewelry is horrible…

Buyer beware their jewelry is horrible quality. It took a month to get refunded and only because I opened up a case through my bank. Just buy your jewelry at Costco. Side note: Their customer service responds promptly. They don’t offer much but excuses but at least they are consistent.

I was going to buy a gold chain from ice carats but after doing my due diligence, checking multiple sources including Google, i decided not to. If Google says its a good chance of being a scam, then 9 out of 10 its probably a scam

Refunded me for “fraud”

Placed an order but the following morning I received an email that said they refunded my order for “fraud”. I contacted customer support and they told me they needed my drivers license and debit card information. They’re trying to scam. Don’t purchase from here.

A difficult situation but IceCarats came through

If I could I would put 0 stars. I bought a gold chain from this website. The chain broke in less than 5 days. I contacted them and they told me to send it back, they sent me a label. I didn’t realize that on the label there was a description of what I was sending back. Didn’t hear from them for days. I contacted them and I was told the package arrived empty. Never had this happen to me. I am very unhappy with their service and do not recommend this company. Addendum April 25 This was a very difficult experience because I felt that both UPS and IceCarats were implying that I sent an empty box and I was dishonest. I shop online a lot and never experienced something like this. IceCarats contacted UPS and they denied the claim. Someone is stealing at UPS and the company doesn’t seem to care. IceCarats ended up offering me a store credit for the amount of the lost necklace, which I really appreciated. I’m waiting for the store credit to come through, hopefully it will not take too long. I received the store credit very quickly and was able to buy a new necklace for my daughter. I was very happy with the way IceCarats handled the situation.

IceCarats is Scam!

I ordered a solid gold 14k rope. What I got was 12 grams of plastic, then they tried to redefine 'solid gold'while playing the small business card. Save yourself the trouble and stay away. Will review return experience as well.

Fantastic Buying Experience!

I have to say that after reading some of the negative reviews out there, I was a bit hesitant to order a 14k gold necklace from them. However, they had what I wanted at a fair price, so I decided to give them a try. Boy, am I ever glad I did! These folks were FANTASTIC to work with! I had initially ordered one style but discovered on their website shortly thereafter (but before delivery) an alternative that I felt might be more appropriate for the heavy pendant I was going to hang from it. I went on their website on a Friday night and was shocked to see that their online chat was actually active. After conversing with their representative, we both agreed that the alternative style would be a better fit. To save time, she told me it would be okay to go ahead and order the new style and just get back to them when the original order arrived in order to initiate a return. I did so, and their return process could not have been more seamless. They had the original order picked up by our UPS delivery guy, and they issued a full refund the same day they received the return with no charge for the return shipping. The new order arrived in the matter of just a few days, and the necklace was EXACTLY what I was looking for: high quality, very attractive, and strong. I can honestly say that IceCarats is one of the best online vendors I have ever used. My sincere thanks to the entire IceCarats Team for making my purchasing experience such a pleasure!

Spent almost $600 for a plastic chain!

I ordered a “14K Solid Yellow Gold 3mm Rope Chain Necklace” from Ice Carats for my fiancé’s birthday in a few days. It came to a total of $567. I received it and it was way too light to be a solid chain. I lightly pressed my nail on it, and it dented the chain. This is the worst SCAM. I have requested a return and I hope I am not charged for it.

***SCAM ALERT***

***SCAM ALERT*** Ordered a solid gold chain and they sent me a plastic piece of junk. First they tried to gaslight me and tell me an obviously plastic piece of junk was real Gold. Then they offered up some sketchy return policy where they would come to my house to pick up the "high value item" personally. They made it impossible to return and now I've handed it over to the bank and authorities to deal with. Wish I would have never ordered anything from this horrible company.

Overall good though USD > CAD conversion rate is a bit up

I've had nothing but a great experience…

I've had nothing but a great experience with IceCarats. NEVER had a problem and I've made over 10 puchases in the last 3 years. I recently returned an items with no problems whatsoever. All of their jewerly is hallmarked, I've taken several peices to a local jeweler just to make sure. IceCarats is selling carated gold.

Sketchy site

I'm always extra vigilant when considering purchasing from an online shop that has no physical address identified anywhere on their site. So I look up their return policy which clearly states they charge a restocking fee if a return is not received by them within 30 days. However, it doesn't specify what the fee is or even whether it is a flat rate or percentage of purchase. This lack of transparency triggers my spidey sense as it leaves things completely open ended. So I initiate a chat with an agent in order to clarify and get specifics. The agent tells me they do not charge a stocking fee. I quote the return policy. Agent then says they have a life time warranty (I guess trying to deflect from answering the actual). I repeat my question and agent says they will "go check". When they come back they confirm "no restocking fee". I suspect they apply this policy on a case per case basis and leave it ambiguous on purpose so that they can charge whatever rate they like if they decide to. I imagine they would likely just apologize for the agent giving you incorrect information and then refer back to the officially written policy on their site that says they DO charge a restocking fee and you will have no recourse - they can simply withhold whatever amount from your refund. Ambiguous policies are a huge red flag. Not surprised to see there are plenty of 1 star reviews for this site. EDIT ADDED AFTER COMPANY RESPONSE: Still didn't answer the question. Getting past the (in this case) irrelevant warranty talk (again) company mentions restocking fee in this part of their response: "Restocking fee is only applied if the return window has passed (30 days) and a customer returned an item for a refund but the product returned is damaged with missing pieces, used, or different from what was originally sent." Ok, what happens if the 30 day return window has passed and a customer returns for refund an UNWORN, UNDAMAGED, ORIGINAL CONDITION item? That was always the question and it is pretty easy to understand what is being asked. Are you saying you offer full refunds on unworn/original condition items INDEFINITELY? So someone can return something 2, 3, 4, 12 months later and get a full refund? This sounds highly unlikely and would make the whole "30 day no restocking fee" statement completely unnecessary. Company's response only confirms my original review. I repeat, vague policies = buyer beware.

Scam Alert

Placed order and a few hours later rec'd email saying I cancelled the order. Called following day to see why the order was cancelled and was told their systems detected suspicious activity and that I could place the order again and that they would ship it after I emailed them a photo of my ID and Credit card. What kind of BS is this. Sounds like damn scammers to me. They had my credit card info and I had to authenticated the purchase multiple times through my CC company and Afterpay. Won't ever do business with them and recommend that anyone else reading this not do business with them.
