HMV ATTEMPT TO RESELL DAMAGED GOODS! 💩😡

Clearly attempting to resell damaged returned goods! Out of stock 4k steelbook came back into stock so I purchased it and noticed it went back out of stock immediately so I had the last one! When it arrived packaged with two others it was the only one badly DAMAGED along the base and Clearly NOT damaged during shipping, on this occasion anyway. These clowns 🤡 think they can resell damaged goods and the public will accept them with 20% off. I'll personally be bringing this incident to the attention of TRADING STANDARDS and hopefully HMV receive a substantial fine if others have reported similar incidents of HMV attempting to resell sub standard goods! 😡

THE BEST SHOP EVER!!!!!!

I went to HMV shop to see what it is like and WHAT A SHOP I loved it I got a lot of good stuff the staff were very nice and if you are looking for an Nintendo Switch game it would normally cost €79.99 in a different shop but here it costs €45.00 I recommend going to this shop for some of your Christmas shopping

Paul Hmv Henry st

I recently visited the new HMV store on Henry Street, looking to buy a specific vinyl I had been looking to buy for a very long time. The customer service I received was unbelievable, not only was the man who served me incredibly friendly but he also had a full knowledge of the band I was interested in. We spoke about every concert they had played in Ireland and further, how many number 1's they have had and the influence they have had on Irish music. I read on his tag his name was Paul and just felt he deserves the credit, I've been to many music stores and have never experienced such a good atmosphere and knowledge to back it up. Looking forward to seeing a Store opening closer to my home in Cavan Mairead S

Theft

I ordered a vinyl as a birthday present on the 8th January to be delivered within 3-7 working days, it never arrived. On the website it says after 15 days to contact them if it has not arrived, I have emailed 4 times and rang 4 times since then. It has almost been two months. I have not heard anything back. Outrageous excuse for a company. I would not recommend anyone to ever shop with them. I am lucky I only spend just under 30€ but it seems others have spent more and been even more unlucky. Absolutely awful.

There's still hope.

Hi All, while I has a similar experience to all of you at the start my issue was resolved so I hope this can be of some help. I ordered DVDs back in January and they still had not arrived by the end of last week. I sent an email and got an automated response which was frustrating. I then went into my HMV account and wrote a message through that detailing my issue and my frustration. Thankfully I got in contact with Jane who basically in the space of 24 hours had refunded my account for all money owed and said that she was still hopeful the DVDs would arrive at some stage. The universe being a strange thing the DVDs arrived the day after I got my refund! I got back in contact with Jane who said to keep the DVDs as it's the least they can do after the long wait. So maybe try writing a message directly from your HMV account and you might get a response from a representative which is much more helpful.

Borderline theft

I placed an order weeks ago and got a an email advising it had been shipped on Jan 3 and would deliver within 3 to 7 days. The money for the purchase was taken on 2 Jan and no goods have been delivered. All my emails to customer service have been ignored and when I posted on their facebook page my comments have been deleted. I have never been treated so disgracefully by an online retailer as I have with HMV.

HMV Ireland - Avoid!

HMV Ireland seem to have let myself and many, many other customers down. Their website claims "Order Online with Confidence" and "Delivery in 3-5 working days" - neither statements are true. I placed my order for some Christmas presents on the 7th December and despite having tried numerous times to contact the company via their contact form there has been no reply. Woeful customer service to not have a telephone number for Ireland, as that is the jurisdiction in which they are trading. Resorted to contacting them via Facebook and someone did message me to contact them, but no reply thus far. It seems that I am not alone. I consider myself "lucky" though as my order arrived last week - 5 weeks late.... Many comments from disgruntled customers on Facebook also who placed orders before me and have had their money taken, but not received their orders. It appears that the company have time to delete Facebook comments, but no time to reply to customers. Disgraceful. Do not shop with HMV Ireland!

I worked for xtravision and hmv for 10 …

I worked for xtravision and hmv for 10 yrs so u think I would have learned my lesson and know what they are like! I had my doubts about ordering from them but went along and ordered a box set 26th December I received an email 28th December saying my item had shipped .. No information of where it was shipped from or what company it was shipped with. I still havnt received my item and when I try to track it the only information I have is shipped. I emailed and didn't get a reply the phone numbers are not working. I hope they don't go out of business and keep everyone's money like the shops did this time 2 yrs ago!

Report them

Everyone complaining on this site please contact consumer rights agency Ireland on 01 402 5555. If 30 days has past since you processed your order they will have to take action. HMV Ireland should not be in business robbing consumer money in this fashion. The same thing happened to me, no order received, no response to contact, and a phone number that is not active, incredibly frustrating.

Horrendous company to deal with ordered 2 blu-rays for stocking fillers on the 29th of November (I thought that was plenty of time) , it's now 7 January and still no sign / contact. Several emails sent and all I've got are acknowledgement emails that my complaint has been received ??? I would say that they have awful customer service but that's not true , they have NO customer service good /bad .But it is good to know their accounts section works very well as money for said products was taken from my account as soon as I ordered !!!

Order never arrived

I ordered a christmas present for a friend on the 11th of December.... on the 19th I got an email to say it was on route. Now the 5th of Jan and nothing has come. I have sent 3 emails since making the order and nothing. I only spent about 15€ but regardless....they should be refunding people if they cant not deliver on the goods. Disgraceful

Should have O Stars.Same Story as all the Rest. How are they able to get away with this.They are still trading,Only in Ireland. Have just discovered.If You Paid with Credit Card or Visa etc, Go to Your Bank with details of Your Purchase and they will do a Backcharge and You will be Refunded Your Money.

HMV are thieves!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Similar story to others; order placed on 11th Dec but still no sign of it on 6th Jan. Still process according to their site. I've used their online form, telephone number, twitter and email, to ask for updates, but haven't heard back once. Will never shop with HMV again.

HMV Ireland SCAM!!

Like everyone else I have just had my money stolen by HMV Ireland.. Ordered item over a month ago. No response to my 5 requested for updates. As far as I can see they are just robbing peoples money. The Irish Sun did an article before Christmas in relation to problems people are having with HMV. Email the paper with your experiences as i reckon a new article is in the offing.

Don't waste your time with HMV - Amazon is the best way forward

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Same scenario - Order placed 12th Dec, order shipped 13th Dec, It's 5th Jan now and still no sign of my Blu Ray disc. I've also sent emails to HMV. I received one pathetic reply but that's about it. I think we can all wave goodbye to our money as this lot neither care about their customers, nor their reputation. I'm not wasting any more time or negative energy chasing this up. I normally use Amazon for Blu Ray's, DVD's etc but I thought I would give HMV a try as they used to be a great company back in the day. I only give suppliers one chance, their are no second chances with me. HMV have still not learnt their lesson. Their shops have closed down and they have previously gone into liquidation. Just use Amazon, they're really good and always deliver when they say they will. Two fingers up to HMV.

No customer service!

Same as everyone else here I ordered two items on the 13th December 2017 and have not arrived. Emailed, and rang both numbers HMV supply on their website no answer either by email or telephone. I will be contacting the following organisations.
