I contacted Gembah for a project to be done to try to move manufacturing out of China to another country. On my call I was told if after sourcing for products they will at most take $1000. So my next question to him was: Well does that mean you guys can just source a product at 5x my cost and then just claim you did your job, keep my $1000 and move on? He ASSURED me that while they may not be able to get a price we want in Mexico, in one of their many countries (not including China because I'm not looking for them to source there), he'll surely be able to do it. So I took his word on it. Next call was with Will Ballentine, he comes on the phone and tells me a price 8-9x my cost. To which I'm furious, why are you even showing me this. This is exactly what I was concerned with. I say go ahead and cancel everything I was lied to just fully refund me. Which seems completely reasonable to me and a reasonable company would. No no no, Will in his infinite wisdom says he'll take over and contact the guy who told me all these things and he'll figure out a solution that will work for us. I remember him saying or else he will give me a full refund, he likely used sneaky language implying a full refund, but meaning they are crooks so full refund minus their crook fee of $1000. Today he has the gall to tell me, me being upset with him is UNWARRANTED. He said he was trying to help me by having a "speedy resolution." These guys are CROOKS, AVOID THEM. Go to Alibaba for 15 seconds and you will find a price for half as much, even from companies not in China. They claim to have factories and representatives all over, all they have is a team of people who can google and email, and I'm not even sure they do that.

My experience with Gembah has been very positive! I've used them for product design and manufacturer sourcing thus far. Having worked with other design and supply chain companies, Gembah has outperformed their competition!

DO NOT WORK WITH GEMBAH. This is a fraudulent company with very questionable business ethics. We were fortunate to have a lawyer on board. We had to go through multiple rounds of red-lining before finalizing our NDA and contract because our lawyer found that the contract they drafted was severely biased, benefiting on their end with NO protection for us. The Gembah team even invited their lawyer during one of our calls unannounced, so we were left with no legal representative. Regardless, we signed the contract in good faith. After months of work and hundreds of thousands of dollars spent, we terminated the project and were left with design files with incorrect measurements and impractical materials. We only found out when we contacted factories for sourcing and were told that the files mixed up inches to centimeters and that the suggested materials would make the product impractically heavy. The team kept adding more people to the project throughout the process, but there were no clear roles and responsibilities. Gembah made no meaningful progress on the project and even tried to upsell us to a more expensive package. Take your money and spend it elsewhere. A Fiverr freelancer would produce better work than Gembah ever will.

Gembah is an inventor's heaven! Gembah has several customer segments, including business persons looking for commercial and custom product innovations, but if you are an inventor, Gembah is an inventor's delight. There is no faster, efficient, design-savvy way to bring your invention to life. Think of Gembah as your back end supply chain partner so that you can dedicate yourself to finding and delighting your own target consumer segments.

Gembah helps their clients take ideas to fruition. I searched on Alibaba for manufacturers of health and beauty products but couldn't find any that made what I was looking for, and then I found Gembah. I contacted them and was assured they could locate a factory in one of the many countries where they have manufacturers and that they could make what I wanted. I was hesitant to trust them at first, but they were extremely professional and presented a clear path that we would follow together, resulting in a product I could sell. They segmented their process, promising me guidance every step of the way. I was given a detailed estimate for their services and paid my deposit. Gembah got right to work and within a few days, they had contacted several manufacturers and located the unique manufacturer I sought. They then arranged for custom samples to be made for my approval. Bottom line: They kept every promise they made, and they made me feel that my project was the most important project they were working on. If you are like me, with a good idea but in need of guidance for product design, product development, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping, Gembah is your one-stop shop.

Our project had a ton of people, all of which were essentially doing nothing. Not sure if it was just for our project, but seems almost everyone was a freelancer. First off, for no legitimate reason, our project manager was switched halfway through our project. We ended up with a new (freelance) project manager who had to refamiliarize himself with the project and people before doing anything. The designer was also a freelancer, who would sometimes show up to meetings having no work done after several weeks. We would have to chase for updates ourselves, and spend hours marking up his designs after every meeting. It was a big waste of money, dealing with a lot of people who were doing nothing, and wasting a lot of our time.

Total waste of money and gives you even more headaches manufacturing something new. I wanted to design an item, and they gave me a crappy designer witch was never at the meetings. Every time after the meeting, they said to write him notes which took me hours for no reason after paying a HUGE amount of money. I told them one time that I felt that this designer was not suitable for this job. Still, they kept pushing me to let's try from now. They brought someone else in from the company who overview things, which was good, but they wanted to keep the designer the same, which is unfair. And they also told me between the lines that if I changed, it would cost me more money (explain to me why), so I said, let us try one more time. To ramp it up, this business model is not worth it. They don't help you get off stress from every decision we had to make. They kept on throwing on me, you decide, etc., and this is not how it works when you pay top dollar and design something; you want to see both sides to see how it will come out nicer. Even more, manufacturing prices are not all reasonable prices. It's all fluff, and they don't have "connections" and try to do it on your own, anything you want to do! The people working there are very friendly, had good project managers. I am just giving a review as a customer. It isn't worth it, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

They did find us a factory but it was very slow process and poor communication. We ended up terminating the contract early and going direct with the factory to finish the process.
