Fusion Academy saved my son’s life. I know that sounds extreme, but it’s the truth. He was suicidal and as parents, we were absolutely lost. We met with the directors at Fusion and they gave us our first glance at hope. Fusion is an amazing environment that allows your son or daughter to make progress at their own pace which gives them confidence -much unlike the busy pace of traditional school where he or she may be feeling like a constant failure because they are unable to keep up. Not only that, but the way the teachers factor in your child’s interests and incorporate them into the lessons is so helpful. I remember one student was a classical musician and his English teacher allowed him to write a musical piece (along with a short essay) for each character of Romeo and Juliet and interpret the story through music. My son was able to approach lessons using methods and subject matter that interested him - which kept him engaged and helped him make sense of what was being taught. We are so grateful to Fusion for giving our son the confidence he carries with him today. He is now 25 and has a soaring career, is engaged to be married and most importantly, he is happy. A far cry from the suicidal teen he was when we pulled him from public school in a desperate attempt to save his life. Fusion gave him the confidence and the building blocks to become the person we always hoped he could be.
Fusion Academy has been a wonderful fit for our 14 YO son. He has attended for 2 years and for the first time, he's excelling in school, is happy and confident. The model at Fusion is unique, and not for all students, but if your child needs a smaller, calmer environment, with tailored education that meets the student's individual needs, pace and unique style, Fusion is a great option. The team at Fusion personally knows every student and supports them as a whole person. They are extremely responsive, creative and kind. They see our unique kids for the wonderful humans they are and bring out their potential. Highly recommend Fusion if you're looking for an alternative to the traditional school environment!
Excellent onboarding for my daughter. Follow through on coursework was excellent. Great teacher.

Fusion offers a unique and welcoming environment - and is the perfect place for kids who think outside the box. As the parent of a twice exceptional student, I am grateful for the one-on-one and small group investment the teachers make in the individual learners - for their kindness, compassion, and extra effort. The administrative team is fantastic and for the first time in years, my son comes home happy, having consistently had a great day!
Having suffered with other institutions to have my son complete and understand/comprehend the lessons, Fusion Academy and its Teachers bring a concept and approach that should be modeled in public schools. Unfortunately, public schools do not have the capacity to do what Fusion Academy does. Therefore, our family is grateful to have finally found Fusion Academy. Too bad we didn't know about this institution earlier. We would have made the investment in order to have a much better school experience. I will recommend Fusion Academy to any parent looking for a better solution to education.
My son enjoyed his summer tutoring sessions at Fusion Academy in Hingham, MA. The instructor was very flexible and was happy to introduce curriculum topics that he enjoyed but that also challenged him. All of the staff we encountered were very courteous, helpful, and friendly.
I was initially very excited about enrolling my daughter at Fusion, but unfortunately the lack of communication throughout the enrollment process was extremely disappointing. When I reached out to enroll, I was told the enrollment advisor was out of town—even though school was about to begin. I was promised a call back in two weeks, but waiting that long would have caused my daughter to miss out on scholarships. Thankfully, I was able to register her at Brightmont instead. More than two weeks have now passed and I still have not received a call back from Fusion. The entire process felt disorganized and communication was virtually nonexistent. I also regret spending money on a demo day. My daughter was so excited about Fusion, and I even referred two friends based on that excitement—only to be left disappointed and without follow-up. Had I known there would be no call back, I never would have paid for the trial. Very disheartening experience, especially given the expectations I had going
My high-school aged son had a great experience taking Pre-calculus this summer at Fusion. The instructor Morgan K was a fantastic teacher. He was able to relate to the teenage brain and also shared info on his college and work life experiences that my son found valuable. Driving to the Galleria several times a week was not fun, but parking was easy. I would say that our overall experience was great and that my son learned way more with the one on one teaching than if we had gone through a community college.
We signed our son up for additional tutoring at the end of the school year and Fusion was great with him. He loved the environment and his tutors. We will definitely be back this school year.
To be honest I don’t really do reviews in general. However I am making an exception for this place. Fusion has been a humongous blessing for our entire family. It started with our second child, adhd so bad that he couldn’t even remember what happened in his class that day. Distraction is the enemy. My kiddo started in 10 grade at fusion, with a barely passing grade for ninth grade. He not only graduated from Fusion Academy with stellar grades. He also graduated a year early. If that doesn’t tell you how well the school does for someone with ADHD. I don’t know what else I can say. It worked out so well we decided to put our youngest, who is a high functioning autistic as I like to put it hightistic . He has no filter when he speaks. He’s very blunt and honest about answering you. He does not work well with others of the same age or younger. He has issues with people he doesn’t believe they know what they’re doing. He can’t be around those people without getting upset. I put him in over the summer for just fun classes or two classes so he could acclimate. He enjoyed himself completely, and he was extremely excited when his classes this semester started, he is also starting in the 10th grade, but he is not going to force himself to graduate early. He says there’s no point. I think it’s more that he likes the school so he’s gonna prolong it. I can honestly tell you every single one of the staff I have met at Fusion Academy. Sugarland is completely there for the children. It’s not a question of if I can find another job. I’m out of here it’s I’m here because I like being here with these Kids they care. Cara and Paul are the two heads and from there, the body just keeps filling in. I wouldn’t know what to do without the school when it comes to my kids and their mental health capabilities so thank you, Fusion.
Our daughter needed to remediate credits from freshman year at another school. She loved her teachers at Fusion and made As and a B for her remediation credits! We would highly recommend for any student considering Fusion. The only reason she went back to her old school was for her friends and to play team sports.
Our son has made so much growth both academically and with his social development since transferring to Fusion Academy from the public education system. The Principal Nadine is kind and understands the unique needs of all the children that go there. My son loves the whole staff there. Plus, his confidence is so much higher now.
Our children are thriving in Fusion. This is our second year as full-time students. We are so happy with the one on one model and the educators really do an amazing job meeting our children where they are and encouraging personal and academic growth.
Our son had some traumatic experiences just before entering High School. Ultimately, the campus was too big and he had trouble adjusting which was affecting his grades. We were so thrilled to find Fusion Academy - Pasadena Downtown. The gift of having one-on-one teaching, homework club and a small student body gave our son the ability to focus on learning. He turned his grades around and Ruth Park along with her staff, provided the kind of support our son needed. He will be returning to Public High School, however, I believe he matured during his time at Fusion which is allowing him the opportunity to take advantage of a larger high school experience with friends, football games and dances. Again, if he doesn't thrive at the new HS, he will be finishing out his education at Fusion. Definitely a 5 star experience!
The tutor was excellent, but we had trouble scheduling enough sessions before the end of school. My goal was to help my son with homework and review for his Algebra final. It took a while to get started, and when I asked about additional sessions beyond the once per week that was scheduled, there really wasn't much available. The last session was actually scheduled for the day after my son took his Algebra final and found out he wasn't passing. No way could I get him to go to a tutoring session one day before the end of school for a subject he knew he was not passing. I was still billed for that session even though Fusion hadn't been able to schedule me for extra sessions that would allow completion in a more timely matter. That was essentially a wasted class, and since classes are expensive (even with the promotional 5-class deal), it was a little frustrating. I didn't realize it would be so hard to schedule additional times, so I didn't think to ask. That was my oversight, but I felt that the school should have asked me when his final was to help us decide a realistic and helpful schedule. So, as advice to prospective families, make sure have a good sense of what the schedule will be and whether that meets your student's needs--will it be timely help or not?
I am glad we decided to enroll Zymari here… he was reluctant as it interrupted his summer BUT in the end his words to another parent “Fusion was actually fun and not bad.” Me the parent: smiling
Everyone who works there is soooo nice accommodating, flexible, they are all a blessing. My child LOVES going to school and is actually making friends - huge academic turn around.
