Drivetime are con artists

I bought a 2021 GMC Terrain from Drivetime in Augusta, GA on May 10th 2025. This was a big investment for me and a difficult decision to make. I needed a reliable vehicle for work and general transportation for my kids and myself. I took the leap trusting Drivetime was selling me a sound vehicle and had done their due diligence in performing a pre purchase inspection. On June 18th just 39 days after purchasing this vehicle and (still making payments actually having just made the first payment after initial down payment) I was left stranded when the transmission wouldn't shift. I contacted SilverRock who I pay for the warranty with. I got the vehicle to a transmission shop over an hour away that is in network that night. The following day they notified me that the transmission fluid was completely black and full of metal shavings. For any remotely qualified mechanic checking the fluids would be part of an inspection. When I voiced that to Drivetime they only said we just check for active mechanical failures. This was an active mechanical failure as the internal parts of the transmission had already begun breaking down. They either didn't inspect or more likely chose to sell it anyways. As of today the 29th of June still no vehicle it has been 10 days without the GMC I purchased and am paying for. SilverRock wanted to source their own transmission to replace the current damaged one and after several days found one that will be delivered to the shop this coming week. Being a holiday week upcoming they notified me the car most likely won't be finished until the following week. After the transmission is replaced there is still further diagnosis to be done for other strange noises that developed. I'm without the GMC I'm paying for 20+ days maybe even a month or more. The warranty only covers 10 days on a rental at 30 a day. When I asked Drivetime if they would cover the additional days or provide some type of options or assistance I was told they will do nothing absolutely nothing at all. No rental assistance, no return, no trade, no real apology from Drivetime Augusta or corporate customer relations. The only assistance I'm getting is through SilverRock who I pay for the warranty with. No attempt at all to do the right thing in any way shape or form. No attempt at all to show any concern for a consumer and human being a single father working class citizen who trusted their company spent thousands of hard earned dollars and was conned by Drivetime. This was a con in fact because no attempt to rectify selling a lemon was made.
