Bitdefender and Experiences
I really do not know what to say. Bitdefender Total Security was recommended to me by an IT professional and I decided to give it a try. When gaming, even with the "settings set," my games would lag, freeze, crash or not launch at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled per suggestion of Bitdefender and the problems got worse. In the end, I had to format 2 separate computers, to undo all the issues the suite caused due to testing the software on them for diversity. The password manager is absolutely terrible. Sometimes, it just fails to function. The email scanning feature is untrustworthy. It flags emails I manually reviewed as safe which were not and flags other emails as dangerous which are not - this could lead to an unexperienced user to believe in a false sense of security. If you decide to install this - make a backup first. IF this software functioned as it is described it would be THE all inclusive solution for computer security at a reasonable price. In the end, if you make music, game, or develop I cannot in good consciousness recommend this software at all.
