Avoid.
Had a pay as you go sim for ages, changed to a contract for 12 months. All updated over the phone, easy. At end of 12 month contract, suddenly very hard to go back to pay as you go, hmm i wonder why. Found out after making several calls, that i can't just choose a new bundle for my sim as i did previously, had to have a new sim sent out, which the original asda support never told me about - AND IT WOULD BE A NEW PHONE NUMBER. After more calling and explaining I am keeping my original phone number, you know, the one all my log ins, banking, social and work is connected to and is VERY IMPORTANT, after more calls, receive a sim 5 days later. Put new sim in phone, NOT ACTIVATED. Old sim and my phone number disconnected and new sim dead. Now can't even phone ASDA as there's no line connection. Try to log in through app, says i have a contract which already came to an end last month. I've been put out so much I have actually gone to ofcom as I have lost 3 days work as a result of not having my phone number (i am a courier whose work DEPENDS ON IT). Beware, coy staff who will attempt to make it easy to get you from pay as go to contract, but hard when attempting to not renew your contract at the end of the period. UPDATE Had to call asda once more, as supposedly new sim would be updated to have my original phone number, 5 DAYS LATER, still NOTHING. Spoke to support on phone, girl had to call me back 1 hour later and then told me it would be 5 days more to update the new phone number to the new sim. Can not change the bundle as the app and log in says i am in a contract. Had to block asda by the bank from taking any payments. Now i've taken 4 phone lines off asda and switched to EE. AVOID.
