General lack of quality advice and care

What promised to be a great experience has been poor despite trying to resolve. I instructed PLS on the recommendation of my developer and they appeared to be a technology enabled solicitors which I felt would make the process easier. For the privilege of this you’re charged an onboarding fee to their online portal. As my case is a part exchange I needed two cases, a sale and a purchase. Their online portal works for my purchase but not for the sale and despite raising it numerous times and promises of someone coming back, it still does not work and I’ve given up asking. What’s more difficult is it seems the team are either very stretched for resource or have very little attention to detail. Some examples include, delays in commencing searches, delays in issuing contracts for the sale to the other party despite having all the details, emails forwarded on without being read with instructions to provide advice ignored. The last point is the most frustrating as it happens with emails and formal reports - a copy paste approach is followed. Despite following up on a number of occasions, and speaking with the conveyancer in charge of the team, it hasn’t improved. So much so I’ve been waiting two weeks for revised advice on the purchase and two days now, despite assurances both we be handled straight away. Unsurprisingly when additional fees are involved, emails with the details of those are issued speedily which makes for a rather unpleasant impression. Overall if it works I could see how PLS could be good but based on my experience I would not recommend.
