Insurance fraud
I purchased AIG travel insurance (AON) through Expedia. When ITA Airlines canceled the final leg of my flight, I was forced to buy a significantly more expensive replacement ticket with another carrier. Upon filing a reimbursement claim, AIG requested "Documentation from carrier verifying the reason of the cancellation/delay." However, ITA Airlines has stated that it does not provide such documentation. I relayed this to AIG, yet they continue to insist on receiving it. This raises serious concerns about AIG’s claims process, as they are knowingly requesting documentation that cannot be obtained — effectively denying valid claims through unreasonable demands.
