BUYER BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE!!! CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I WOULD RATE THEM 0 IF POSSIBLE. I booked the Rome to Rome Med cruise because I was excited for the ports of call including the overnight in Ibiza. The problems started shortly before the cruise when Atlantis claimed that Ibiza made a change to the berthing arrangements changing the overnight in Ibiza from Saturday to Sunday. "We are writing to inform you of a change in the port order on our itinerary. The port of Ibiza made a change to their berthing arrangements for September and was no longer able to accommodate Odyssey on our originally scheduled date. Luckily, we were able to secure a new overnight call on September 3, but in doing so Royal Caribbean has had to change the operating order for the other ports. As a result, we had to drop our calls to both Marseilles and Cagliari to accommodate most the original itinerary. The good news is that we now have longer stays in all ports and have added two fabulous sea days (which many of you were asking for)." Who wants more sea days when you are in Europe??? Atlantis traps you on the ship to buy more drinks so they can make more money and save money on docking fees and taxes. I asked for a partial refund as 1/3 of my vacation plans were changed or deleted saving Atlantis a lot of money on port fees and taxes on the deleted ports. Atlantis said that the terms and conditions allow them to make any changes without compensation so basically, they can make any changes they desire. While on the ship I checked with Royal Caribbean's guest service manager who told me Atlantis changed the Ibiza date so the ship would be in port for the Glitterbox party at Hi Ibiza that is held only on Sunday. Glitterbox announced their schedule in February 2023 so Atlantis knew when the party was held. Atlantis employees pushed the $145 party pass and the $60 transfers to the party which included 1 free drink. We were told we would arrive in Ibiza at 8pm Sunday, so I purchased $600 VIP tickets for Amnesia that opened at 11pm. The ship stayed out of the port of Ibiza until after midnight because we were told that the pilot boat could not navigate the windy conditions. However shortly after midnight (same weather conditions) the pilot boat was able to guide the ship to port. I believe that the ship was held out of port, so Atlantis only had to pay 1 day of docking fees. Atlantis allowed the guest who booked their party at Glitterbox to leave the ship first and made the rest of us wait. I lost 3 hours of fun at Amnesia because of Atlantis' actions. We were originally scheduled to arrive on Saturday at 3pm and leave Sunday at 8 pm. Once I arrived home, I again requested a partial refund from Atlantis in which they responded: "There is nothing we can offer beyond the $50 onboard credit and we will not be able to honor your request for a refund. As our terms and conditions clearly state, the itinerary may change at any time for a variety of reasons. Thank you.
