Remortgage nightmare with Santander and enact
One working day away from completion with no update. Staff that answer the phone are pleasant and seem keen to help, but case manager does not respond to messages and has not contacted me despite me chasing for a week. This is a simple remortgage transaction. It looks like enact have left things to the last minute and now we will miss our completion day, putting us on a very expensive standard variable rate with our current lender. We're trapped in this situation because Santander, the lender, use enact for remortgage transactions. We have provided all the information needed almost as soon as it was requested. We've been let down and it's a joke. The system is broken but conveyancing firms like this need to held accountable.
