Disappointing and illogical return…
Disappointing and illogical return policy. I bought a pair of shoes as a gift, but unfortunately got the wrong size. I specifically asked if Adidas followed the same sizes as EU and US as it’s a gift and was told that they do…When I went to exchange them (with the original receipt, within the allowed exchange period, and with all tags still attached) I was told I couldn’t, simply because I no longer had the original box. That struck me as completely unreasonable. I had all the standard proof of purchase and had followed every condition mentioned at the time of buying. Not to mention, I didn’t plan on returning the shoes when I bought them. I trusted the store. What made the experience worse was the lack of effort from the staff to help find a solution or even acknowledge the issue. At the end of the day, this isn’t a brand-exclusive store; you can find these shoes in many other places. So service and customer care should really be the differentiator. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. Disappointing, and a good reminder to be more cautious when shopping here in the future.
