They can charge your card right away, but apparently actually putting in the order takes more skill
I ordered from a local restaurant that I've ordered from before. I could've called, but was curious and like the convenience of online ordering. It is a Saturday, so I ordered before I was super hungry and was fine with waiting. I called maybe an hour after I received a confirmation about my order (maybe an hour and fifteen after I placed the order. Whelp. After hanging out on hold for altogether too long I found out that they never put the order in. When faced with another 45 minute to an hour wait I asked them for a refund. It will take at least 3-5 days to process the refund. What sort of place processes the card immediately, but doesn't then immediately put the order through? And then is somehow unable to immediately process the refund? I've worked customer service, AND in restaurants, I fully understand that my bank may not immediately make the funds available, but you sure can send me an immediate confirmation of my refund process. Terrible customer service from beginning to end, though at least the lady on the phone was nice.
