Dishonest employee damaged our kitchen
We've spent thousands with Pimlico over the years but will never use again. Heating engineer called Lee in East London was assigned to help remove a tap head. Damaged our worktop with his drill, admitted he'd done it to us at the time, and said he'd report it to the office. However, he didn't report it, and he then lied and said the damage was pre-existing. His "evidence" was a photo he took an hour after he arrived (long after he'd started the work) and the photo literally shows the hole he had already started drilling! My wife was nine months pregnant (we had our son four days later) and caused us a huge amount of unnecessary stress and frustration at a very sensitive time. Absolutely no reason for us to fabricate - as mentioned have spent thousands with Pimlico and never raised a a single complaint. Customer Services absolutely uninterested, accuse us of claiming for pre-existing damage, refusing to explain how they can support this position when the photos clearly do not support the engineer's version of events. Similar pattern to other reviews here - claim to have referred the matter to "3rd party insurers" but no details of who they are and no updates. Issue open for four months now, no attempt at resolution forthcoming, clearly just stalling and hoping we'll go away. We always felt Pimlico was a more expensive but safe, honest choice, who could be trusted if something went wrong. In reality, their failure to resolve something as serious as damage to our kitchen shows they are no better than dealing with independent traders. We have experienced no semblance of customer care, and have spent the first few months of our son's life chasing Pimlico for the bare minimum of updates. Please be warned, avoid Pimlico Plumbers. Use local trustworthy tradespeople and pay half the price.
