Do not get mixed up in the Great Jones business model!
I am a retired military member of 22 years, and Great Jones Property Management gave us one week to vacate our home. Great Jones claimed that we were emailed a non-renewal notice, six months previous to us finding out. (To an email address that had been closed for over two years, and had even been updated; however, they still sent the only notice via email and to the wrong email address.) We had been renting this property for three years at this point with an exemplary record. Great Jones is not a business model that any rental company should try or emulate, this was a horrible experience. They threatened us at every communication, even when we finally were able to talk to a real human. Their company model is strictly an internet based and lacks any real customer interaction (Lacks any customer service training or experience). This business model for a rental management company is deplorable, at the time of this situation my wife and I both work from home, and not only did the lack of preparation for a move cost us monetarily, academically, and physically through several visits to the E.R. for related stress attacks. This company only answers to the bottom line, and no other company mission or vision. Our bottom line, they did not honor our lease agreement, nor did they even adhere to the contract requirements. Their only motivation was to get us out at any cost regardless of their shortcomings as a management company with no quality assurance requirements.
