Worse retail store experience…

Worse retail store experience encountered. This company filed bankruptcy and closing its stores down, and I am not surprised. Do not place online orders with this company. They will put a hold on your money and they will not pick your orders. Not only is your money taken, your money isn’t returned for awhile if order is canceled or items are unavailable. Your order will linger around for days and no one will tend to them. This store (Torrance CA) doesn’t pick up their phone either. I’ve called throughout the day hoping to save a far drive but no one answers and I was forced to go to the store to ask about my order 1/9/25. Their inventory is not accurate. It shows they have it online but they don’t physically have it. I went to the actual store and walked around—they had no inventory on the floor so I stood in line (for 30 minutes) to see if my order was pulled. This big store could not afford two cashiers. There was only one register and I had to stand in line for half an hour. The line was really long. It is the company's fault for not hiring enough manpower on the floor. When I asked the cashier Lauren why she didn't have backup she said there was no other person available. She eventually calls for backup and the supervisor comes around. The supervisor Jazz was nonchalant and non-apologetic. I told her her job is to make sure everything is running smoothly and she snaps back with a response saying they're short-staffed. I told her even if they're short staffed she should be helping. I even asked if she was on lunch break and she said no. They hire young inexperienced workers that are paid cheap to handle these bottom feeder jobs. When I asked about my order, the cashier immediately said they didn’t pull any orders that day WITHOUT even checking in the back and I had to ask her to double check since I made the drive. She leaves and comes back and said they didn’t have it and I was told they’ve been backed up since the holidays with hundreds of orders. I asked her “so you guys haven’t been pulling orders?” And she just said “It’s not that…” an answer you’d expect from a kid. This place is a dump. It’s a matter of time when this store will be closing down. The website needs better inventory control and floor management—and the store needs to pay more careful attention to online orders. The supervisor acted like it wasn’t busy and left her coworker alone, she could’ve been tending to the orders in the back. I left without my order, time and gas wasted, and my money tied up with the bank. Save yourself the headache and time dealing with this store. Purchase someplace else more convenient and handled more professionally by staff.
