The worst experience
The worst experience I've had trying to rent a property. I applied to the property and was approved, but due to a pipe bursting and water damage in the home, they told me the start date would need to be pushed. Not an issue, as my move-in date was flexible. I was told that I would be updated later that week with an expected maintenance time and move-in date, which I was not. I checked back the next week, and I could still not be given an update but was once again promised that I should have one in a few days. Since then, the leasing agent has not returned my calls or text messages. When I called into the corporate line and asked to be connected to her, I was told she was wrapped up in some things - and still no call back a week later. Yet, today I received a marketing text from Darwin Homes telling me that the house - which I was already approved for - was now listed at a different price and I should fill out my application because there have been "a LOT of inquiries". I honestly feel like I was scammed out of my application fee and lied to throughout this entire process.
