I feel compelled to share my experience…

I feel compelled to share my experience with the law firm currently handling our house purchase, as it has been deeply frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. We were recommended this firm by our mortgage advisor—something we now regret deeply. We began the house purchase process in November of last year, for a brand new, chain-free property that was already completed at the time. Despite this, we are now eight months in, and the process remains incomplete. Our conveyancer, Kenny Crowther, has provided what I can only describe as extremely poor service throughout. Communication has been minimal at best. I have not been able to speak with him even once by phone, and email responses often take two to three days, even now when we are under urgent time pressure. Due to the delays, we’ve had to apply for a mortgage offer extension, and we are now just over a week away from the mortgage offer expiring completely. The lack of urgency or accountability is incredibly frustrating, especially given the high stakes involved. On the rare occasions we’ve been able to speak with someone at the firm, the tone has often been rude and dismissive—as if we are inconveniencing them, rather than being paying clients. It is deeply disappointing to see such a lack of professionalism and care in what is such a significant life event. I would strongly advise others to avoid this firm if they are looking to avoid unnecessary delays, stress, and anxiety.
