Smiths TV - Nefarious Sales Tactics
I placed an order with Smiths TV for a LG 65 C4 OLED model that was clearly listed as in stock. After payment, I was informed it was unavailable with no confirmed delivery date — despite the TV still being advertised as available online. They then offered me a newer (C5), more expensive model at a “discounted” price but without the original promotional extras. When I asked for a fair deal reflecting my original purchase, they refused. The company claims their terms mean no contract until dispatch, but repeatedly advertising unavailable stock feels misleading and unfair. Many other customers share similar experiences in reviews here on Trustpilot, suggesting this may be a pattern. When I raised the issue with Smiths TV, my order was cancelled and a refund issued. This looks like a classic bait-and-switch tactic and raises serious questions about their business practices and honesty. I would not recommend buying from Smiths TV and urge others to proceed with caution until the issue is resolved.
