Great House / Five Star not so much

The house is amazing! The Five Star team is a different story all together. They don’t listen and they don’t meet their commitments. You can start with the booking where I informed them there was only going to be 2 of us in a 6,700 sq ft home and the most important aspect of the home to us is the pool and spa. We requested that those be heated and clean when we arrive (“yes sir can I get your credit card information”) 3 days prior to arrival we were informed that the pool is not a heated pool and the spa jets are not working but the spa heats and is good to go. When we arrived, the spa was filthy and empty (they don’t listen). We contacted them immediately and they informed us someone would be there the following day. The following day we got a call and text informing us that the parts still had not arrived. We told them again we didn’t care about the parts we just needed it cleaned, filled and heated. Next day no one shows up again we are notified about the parts. Loosing 3 days use of the spa we cleaned it, filled it and got it heated on our own (they don’t meet their commitments). Upon arrival we asked them to call us when the house was ready. “No problem we will”. No call and again they do not do what they say. We were contacted prior to a storm that the owner is very particular about the home and someone would be coming out to secure the outdoor furnishings. No one ever came and no one ever called to tell us feeling bad for the owner we secured the furnishings. Again, they do not do what they say. I was supposed to be refunded the cancellation fee. I am still holding my breath as I said above, they don’t do anything they commit to. I could go on, but you get the point. Regarding the house it is simply fantastic. It is exactly as the pictures show. A couple of items you need to know that Five Star does not tell you. The home has an audio system that is either turned off or not working. You will need to bring your own music source and speakers for music. Also, they do not mention that the pool is not heated. In my case even when I asked. If you are planning a trip after mid-October, the pool may be too cold to use.
