Nice Property, But Shaky Experience
Overall, this was a good property for our group of 14. The location is great relative to beach access, and there was a golf cart rental included that we didn't expect, which was a big bonus. Kids and adults both enjoyed the putting green area. However, we did have a handful of issues that were not dealt with the way I'd expect. I received notice shortly before checking in that there was an issue with the oven, and that it would need to be repaired/replaced. When speaking with the property manager on the day of check-in, it was explained that it would likely be replaced on Monday. In the meantime, they had put a small counter top convection oven and toaster oven in the property. Sounded reasonable. What wasn't reasonable was the fact that nothing of any size to feed 14 people could be realistically accommodated in either of those solutions. The property management also indicated that we would be compensated for the issue, given that we had $1,000 of groceries being delivered to the property at check-in. Aside from an unannounced visit from a maintenance person mid-week to place a strip of electrical tape over the controls, I have not heard anything further about the issue. No resolution and no compensation. Additional issues included the hot tub jets working initially, then failing, and being told that guests don't have access to the hot tub functions. Would have been good to know in advance. We also got another surprise maintenance visit after reporting that the house's elevator was not functioning. Maintenance actually entered the house unannounced on that occasion, which is concerning. We liked the house and would consider it again in full working order. However the handling of our issues was not in line with the expense of the property.
