Prove your 15% charges with itemised costs

Intrepid can’t just arbitrarily come up with 15% as a charge for “unrecoverable costs”. They need to itemise these costs to make sure travellers know that indeed 15% of their money is actually being paid to the people they say they are paying it to. I doubt very much if any tour guide is still employed by Intrepid around the world. I need to be assured that MY money is actually going to my Croatia tour guide – I doubt it. As for accommodation/transport “costs” Intrepid paid on my behalf to any hostel/pensionne/vehicle company etc in Croatia, these payments would be recoverable by Intrepid as per any deposit T&Cs. After all, I never got to Croatia! And I was TOTALLY refunded my AirBnB deposit for accommodation in London in May as well as a Hertz car rental booking in France in May. So I’m afraid that this is just Intrepid retaining an arbitrary figure of my money, to save them from going bankrupt. Bit like how they changed their T&Cs mid-pandemic! If they do go broke we will all get nothing! ALL their ‘cut and paste’ replies here, and indeed to everyone on their website, are just not doing it for me. I’m not interested in a credit of 110% – this is ridiculous – when I CAN travel again, the cost of my tour will be twice as much as I paid in 2019 and 110% won’t come close to covering the (if I’m allowed to travel) 2023 price. They are just waiting for all of us travellers to give up, roll over and take the refund less 15%. And again, where is Intrepid’s insurance company in all of this?????? It is them that should be covering Intrepid’s "unrecoverable costs", not me ... I'm not a bank ... that is why we pay insurance premiums ... to cover exactly this situation. I won’t be using Intrepid again.
