Overworked and clear lack of impetus
Their property conveyancing team are clearly overworked and understaffed. We chose Taylor Rose off the back of our broker's recommendation and wished we never had - it's an ongoing nightmare. Having agreed offers on our own and onward properties at the beginning of September 2024, we are now 7-months and counting in to our experience with Taylor Rose's property soliciting team, and are incredibly dissatisfied with the level of service provided. Despite frequent emails, calls and subsequent voicemails, getting an update is nigh-on impossible. Point in case, despite daily messages and attempted calls, we have now gone 2-weeks without an update from our solicitor. There is an apparent lack of motivation for their team to go beyond what might be expected in order to get things moving, and things only seem to progress on a reactive basis, as opposed to a proactive one, causing anxiety and uncertainty within our chain who are fast losing patience. Giving 2-stars as on the rare occasions we do get to speak with our solicitor they're informative and helpful, but such is the infrequency of contact, I can't rate this experience any higher. UPDATE (March 28) - Have raised a formal complaint with the Client Care team as instructed. Now awaiting a proper response. UPDATE 2 (April 15) - We now receive scheduled weekly calls, but progress continues to be slow and there's little in the way of urgency shown by our solicitor. Increasingly concerned that our entire purchase is going to fall through as a result. Reducing my 2-star rating as communication still isn't forthcoming outside of these scheduled weekly calls.
