Hilton Car Supermarket

I regret ever stepping foot in this awful place.
I bought a car from Hilton in Milton Keynes recently and since then regret ever stepping foot in this awful place. The car is a 2019 reg car, with 47,000 miles on the clock. I purchased it as I wanted a newer, more reliable car. How wrong I was. Within 2 months, we noticed the gears were sticking and realised the air con didn’t work (and never did). I tried to get a diagnosis from local garages, but all I spoke to said they didn’t deal with warranty companies. The whole process of dealing with Warranties2000 is a nightmare and it’s not worth the paper it's written on. Within a week of these enquiries the fourth gear completely failed, so we couldn’t drive it. To fix the car, it was in a garage for over 4 weeks (as this was the only one that would deal with the warranty company). The warranty company then rejected the claim, stating it was wear and tear. Sorry, wear and tear on a gearbox, on a car with just over 50,000 miles on the clock? It cost me £2387 to fix the gearbox, as well as having to pay for a hire car while I was without my car. To make matters worse, the day I got the car back it went in for its overdue MOT and also an air conditioning service to see if that would fix the air con issue (as advised by Hilton). The MOT failed and cost a further £550 to fix a leaking exhaust and a faulty wiper blade. We were also advised the air con issue was down to a faulty compressor, that would need replacing at a cost of circa £600. So, we’ve spent over £3000 to date to make our ‘new’ car legally roadworthy. This is a third of the value of the whole car. AND we still have an outstanding issue with the air con. When we approached Hilton about all of this, they were rude and uninterested entirely. Their lack of aftersales care is shocking, and we have no choice now but to take them to court as our car is not fit for purpose. I strongly urge people not to buy from Hilton, they clearly do no tests or checks on their vehicles and they will literally do everything they can to worm their way out of any liability. EDIT: I have heard nothing from Hilton six days later, despite their response below. I just don't believe anyone is even looking into this.
