Excellent service

Lextons is a fantastic agent and as a buyer I was very impressed at the level of service they gave. Peter helped negotiate the offer on the property and managed to secure it for me when it looked like it would fall through. George was very friendly and helpful during viewings, and Karen did a fantastic job overseeing the purchase and moving it forward to completion. I was particularly impressed at how pro-active Karen was, emailing me almost every week with updates and keeping in touch with both solicitors. Finally an agent I didn't have to "chase" but who took the initiative throughout! Any concerns and questions were responded to promptly - an outstanding level of customer service. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star rating is this: Buyers should be aware that once they have an offer accepted on a property, the policy at Lextons is that the property will NOT be shown as "Sold STC" online, as most other estate agents would show it at this point. This means that the property you're hoping to buy will still appear as available to anyone searching online (whether on Rightmove or other sites). Lextons do promise that they won't conduct any further viewings on the property - they just take contact details for anyone who's interested in case the sale should fall through. However, as a buyer I found this added an unnecessary layer of anxiety for me, as I felt it increased the possibility of my offer being gazumped after I was already financially and emotionally invested in the property. So if you're a buyer, just be aware of this, and if you're a seller, it should work in your favour. But otherwise I couldn't fault the level of service Lextons provided and would highly recommend them.
