India golden triangle and Ranthambore
Kam, our tour guide/manager told us right at the start that this would not be a relaxing holiday, it was a tour! And it certainly was. But what a fabulous tour to go on with a great group of people. Kam had everything organised immaculately and his knowledge of every place we visited or even passed through was insurmountable. All delivered with a fabulous sense of humour. Full marks go to our driver, Satnam and to Sid, the all round helper and giver of much water! The coach was kept clean, cool and comfortable. There were plenty of toilet breaks - something we had worried about. All the hotels we stayed at were amazing. The two main highlights were the Taj Mohal and seeing tigers at the Ranthambore national park/reserve. We had a 4 night extension to Goa at the end of the tour at the Shanti Morada hotel in north Goa. Fabulous. We will definitely be back to this particular hotel. A little way from the beach but the hotel provides a free taxi service. It takes a little over 5 minutes depending on the traffic. All in all, a wonderful tour.
