Got the job done, but watch out for additional costs!
After the initial contact and switching teams, the whole process was ok as a first time buyer I wasn't sure what the bar was, but a couple of things (pointed out to them at the time) that their "sales" flier mentions - costs of around £947 in the section beneath it mentions OTHER COSTS /POTENTIAL COSTS.. Now, given that it’s a new build house and they are "new home specialists" there is no mention anywhere on the flier of the Activation of new home warranty of £95+ VAT. So rather than the enticing £947 plus potential additional costs of maybe £609 totaling around £1560, my bill was actually £3110. It would have been cheaper for me to use our local conveyancer. Being more transparent with the costs would be preferable, I felt a quite mislead and just a number and when I aired my concerns and complained on the costs, and having to have the completion statement done twice, there was no real concern from them or any good will gesture. I Miss the days of real customer care. But they got the job done. Would I recommend them? No probably not at this stage and my feedback will go back to Taylor Wimpey EA who recommended them. UPDATE 14th March 2025 Had a call back as suggested in early February with a promise he was going to look in to it and follow up with me with an outcome. But to date not heard anything since. Surprised? Not really. Just a number aren’t I. Confirmed.
