I have a visual impairment and have…
I have a visual impairment and have great difficulty reading my details on my debit card, because they are the same colour as the rest of the card. I have tried using the scan card option online, for example, when paying for my online grocery shop with Tesco. The scan card option doesn't always read my card details correctly either, despite making sure there is adequate lighting. I have tried ringing Customer Services regarding this issue in the past and was told Lloyds don't issue cards with the account numbers in a different colour. I was told to use the scan card option, but that isn't the solution, customer services think it is, because as previously mentioned my card details aren't always read correctly by the scanner. The only "solutions" they offer are raised dots or braille, which are not suitable solutions for my visual impairment. I just simply need my account number, sort code etc to be a different colour to the rest of my debit card. I don't understand why it is impossible to get a debit card that suits my needs. Offering raised dots or braille as the only solutions for visual impairments, means that my visual needs are not being catered too. Trying to resolve this issue through the app was like banging my head against a brick wall. The only useful thing Lloyds do is send my bank statements in large print.
