Swindlers
My parents had issues with their AC last summer, AC would not turn on. So I called reliance to take a look and repair the AC unit. The AC is 2 years old. Reliance insist on buying a new one as the current one can’t be repaired. I told them to hold off on the purchase while I contact a friend of mine who is a licensed hvac technician. I had him drive 2 hours to the house and check it out. He found that reliance purposely removed a capacitor on the ac unit so it would bot turn on and they had also cut the wire going into the electrical panel box. I called them immediately to re-wire it and install the capacitor they had purposely removed from the board and once they had re-installed everything, the AC started working again. They we’re forcing my parents to buy a new AC unit through their technician. I live 2 hours from them and they tried to swindle their way to get them to buy a new AC unit. Going into year 2 now and the AC unit they claimed was dead (due to them tempering with it) is still going strong. Don’t trust anything these guys say. Always ask questions and double check or even triple check any papers they ask you to sign.
