MindStir Media is Marvelous!
At nearly 70 years of age, I decided to write stories about the strong women in my family. These women of grit and strength raised me, and I wanted to share their amazing stories of survival, family love and generational wisdom…a tribute to my mother and grandmother who survived the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. After finishing their stories, the challenge was now to find a publishing company who would make my dream become a reality. There are numerous companies available to print and produce your book. When speaking with Christen (representative from MindStir Media), she took the time to answer all my questions. First impressions matter, and Christen was courteous and knowledgeable. I was not pressured, but persuaded…a decision that was based on integrity and honesty. I began my exciting journey with MindStir Media in August 2023. Three weeks later, my brother was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic and lung cancer. It was now critical that this project be handled with urgency. My brother did not have much time. I wanted him to see the book I had written about our mother and grandmother before he passed. The MindStir team members were in close communication with me, ensuring each detail was as I wanted…JJ Hebert, Christen, Ashley, Jason, Monica, and all who worked on my book, were more than ‘people’ from a large publishing company, but my extended family. My brother held the completed book (“Firewood and Christmas Potatoes”) in his hands while in the hospital, one week before he died (December 7, 2023). I have recently had my second book published by MindStir Media (“Grandma’s Bucket of Mercy”) on May 16, 2025. Each experience was just as supportive and positive!
