Online delivery was excellent.
Getting ready for winter we've just had two separate deliveries of bags of logs from Home Bargains, and I have to say we were surprised and just how good the experience was. Normally it's my partners job to go out and stock us up on logs, smokeless coal, wood briquettes, or whatever is the cheapest. It usually means a trip to a retailer every six weeks throughout the cold months. Last year he discovered the bags of birch logs sold at Home Bargains were much cheaper than Wickes, B&Q, or B&M, the trouble is the two Home Bargains stores closest to us were always fairly quick to sell out. This year we decided to order a pallet of 64x7Kg bags of logs which worked out less than half the price of the logs sold at Wickes. Ordering was simple, but we were a bit nervous about getting such a large delivery, especially as our house is kinda difficult to find and its located down a narrow access road. We didn't need to worry, we got a call within 24 hours arranging a delivery day, the driver was on time and reversed a 7.5 ton truck down a very narrow track and left the pallet on our driveway. The driver went out of his way as he could have just done a kerb side delivery and left us to carry 64 bags of logs the 40 meters to our house. The second order we placed two weeks later just arrived without any prior notice, but again the second driver went out of his way to wheel the pallet on a pump truck the 40 meters from the main road to our driveway. So in both cases the drivers were absolutely fantastic. So the whole home delivery experience went from being a bit nervous to being very impressed. Awesome job Home Bargains!
