First time River Cruiser
First time River Cruiser, (first time any cruiser actually) but was looking for something a bit different from what I had done before. I did all the research as I’m a bit OCD like that and eventually a Seine cruise from Paris to Normandy and back really appealed. Anyway I called Riviera Travel as it was a toss up between them or Viking and explained what I was looking for and the customer representative Sharon Inge could not have been more helpful. Any questions I had, no matter how daft some of them probably were she was only too happy to answer cheerfully. She is very knowledgeable and helped me with everything from picking flights to choosing the best cabin for me based on my inexperience, budget and her knowledge. She definitely made me feel at ease and more like I was talking to a friend. Nothing was too much trouble. I totally forgot about Viking anyway and booked an 11 day cruise with her there and then. She really is a credit to the company and as this is the first contact you have with Riviera Travel it leads you to believe that all of the staff are of this standard. I certainly felt like I had made the correct choice anyway even before I set sail.
