Very stressful
When you call their phone line it is very hard to get in touch with the lawyer on your case. When you do manage to get through on the phone most times the paralegal would answer the phone and advise they can't answer any questions as they cannot give legal advice. We were buying our first house and the vendors solicitor was unable to reach PLS via phone or email most of the time. PLS would simply just not respond to emails from me or the vendors solicitor. It took six months to complete on the purchase due to the difficultly contacting and the delays from PLS. We ended up completing but during the time before and after completion, PLS did not answer a single email regarding queries we had about the purchase as first time buyers. The manner in which they conducted themselves for a paid service was shocking and truly stressful. They would claim to have sent emails and documents to us and the vendors solicitor's which had just not been sent. Six months after completing and already living in the property they contacted us for £15 to send off the HM land registry application for the property showing this had not been sent on their side for almost a year. Since using PLS we have used other solicitors which have been truly fantastic so I have come to leave a review as objectively as I could as the manner in which they operate is not an industry standard and I wish I would have seen a review such as this which would have warned me what i would be getting myself into before using them.
