A few days before renewal of my household insurance, I was unable to update my debit card details online as my bank had issued a new card. The only way was to telephone Intelligent Insurance directly. This resulted in me having to pay at the same time as my notifications to them! A) why does their website not allow card details to be updated, and B) why did payment have to be taken just because I notified them of a new card payment. Would they have preferred that I did not notify them, and wait for them to co tact me when payment would not go through?
