Good hotel, but issues this time.
We have been going to Newquay, for several years with Alfa, as my Niece lives there. The Eliot hotel is lovely. With a Friendly manager and staff. Unfortunately this time, we had some issues. Although booking a full year before going. I had requested both twin rooms to have a walk in shower, due to mobility problems for 3 of our party of four. Apparently on speaking to the manager, someone had crossed out our request, before we arrived. So only one room had one. The manager did offer us a double and a single room, but of course our party wanted the companionship of sharing. The other thing was that, there was disorganised service in the dining room. Waiting ages to be served and also between courses. And then sometimes bringing, wrong food we had ordered etc. The food however is very good and no complaints. We had a Brilliant driver in Chris. He was very informative about the area and made us all laugh. He also carried my bags onto the coach for me, as I can struggle to get up without them, due to mobility and breathing issues. A Lovely man. We will of course be going again. I have given only 4 stars, due to the issues, but all other times we have stayed as been a 5.
