O2 upgrade
O2 upgrade - don't doit!!!! I upgraded my O2 sim only plan to a phone plan and was advised of next day delivery. Placed my order, received some emails saying it was on hold due to account issues. This was resolved after 3 days and I received a dispatch email from DPD, great! DPD "attempt" to deliver, weirdly I was home and DPD didn't attempt to deliver but received an email to say they'll try again the following day. The next day, email received to say there is a delay, it'll be the following day! This day comes, DPD turn up, great!! A driver is rummaging around in the van and then drives off!!! Email received to say that it'll be delivered the following day so I can only assume that the phone wasn't in his van for delivery. The day finally arrives. Phone is delivered. I unrwap the bag, instantly noticing its been opened and resealed, to see a box with the seals broken. No phone!!!! Clearly DPD have stolen the phone. So, back in touch with Mobile Phone Direct. They ask me to fill a form out and send it in. It would take 10 days to replace the phone so I ask to cancel and decide actually its a safer bet to just go direct with O2. 2 weeks later, nothing. I've called daily to be now told that if I cancel, I lose my previous sim only plan and telephone number! Leaving me no choice but to keep the contract which I'm already being charged for btw, unless I'm willing to lose my number that I've had for 20 years. Now awaiting a manager call back as they are now saying it takes 21 days to investigate, a further 10 to replace. Which means another month will have passed where I'm on a new phone contract without a phone! SO!! DONT DOIT!!! Just go direct to your provider!! It is NOT worth the risk. Edit: order number as requested 50283243 and still, no update, no resolution, no phone, paying for a contract already and no refund of my upfront payment!
