Deja vu - poor quality goods, delayed delivery
Deja vu: I ordered a premium gift basket for friends in Canada in April. The delivery was 3 days late and everything had been substituted - it was nothing like the goods I'd paid for. When I complained, I was advised that substitutions are common in the gift industry and, as for the delay, it was the fault of the courier, nothing to do with Hazeltons. Appreciating this may have been a one-off and hoping to give them a second chance, I ordered a 'champagne dessert' gift basket for friends' 25th wedding anniversary recently. Sadly, same thing: the gift took 10 days to be delivered (not 2-5) and bore no resemblance to what I'd ordered - more of a 'cheap wine, packet of cookies and lump of cheese' box. Again, I was informed the delay was the fault of the couriers, not Hazeltons. I wrote a review for their website but, interestingly, their company has to assess all reviews before deciding to publish - which is probably why there were so few poor reviews when I looked! I've given this company two chances, they won't get a third. Poor quality goods, delayed delivery and abysmal customer service.
