Terrible experience
When I booked the car with carrentals.co.uk, I was made to believe that full insurance cover was included. When I got to Budget/ Avis Heathrow, I showed them the prepayment voucher, but I was requested to e-sign a credit card authorization form. Subsequently, Budget/ Avis sent me a copy of the e-signed rental agreement showing the inclusion of their complete protection package, unknown additional products and location surcharge totaling GBP251.22 (VAT included). Honestly, they didn't mention these optional extras to me when I e-signed the agreement. Had they informed me the additional cost to be incurred, I wouldn't have signed on the document. I believe it is a complete rip-off and I am going to file a chargeback for the credit card payment.
