Not a good format higher gcse maths
My son did a trial here. I have no doubt it helps improve grades and learning. However, I was looking for a tutor for Maths GCSE and came across the great reviews so thought I'd investigate to find out more. However it's basically plugging your child into a learning program on a computer. The tutor hovers and supports when the child is stuck or needed. But an integral part of Maths gcse is completing a written paper and showing your workings. Explore Learning feels like coaching not tutoring - it wasn't for us due to this. The sales push to sign up and commit was heavy too. When I said I'd reflect on it, they couldn't get us out of the door quick enough! Might be better for KS1 & KS2 perhaps.
