My review is not about the staff I have dealt with, Lucan who sold me my 2018 Ford Focus in May 2021 was fantastic, and so was the lady I spoke to yesterday on the service desk (sorry I missed your name, maybe Jane/Jenna) who was incredibly kind and sympathetic as I was obviously upset. It seems my car has been affected by the extremely common low oil pressure issues due to the engine having a wet belt. Parts need to be replaced which should not need to be at the cars current mileage. Quoted £2400 to rectify, but apparently this may not fix the problem, so then a new engine will be needed! To say I’m devastated is an understatement. I can use a Ford claim to get some discount but in the end I will still end up paying practically the value of the car to fix it if a new engine is needed after the work is done. Why sell these cars? There are known issues, I’ve spoken to a number of people in the last week who have guessed the engine in my car before I’ve said it (1 litre Ecoboost). I am now without a car for my 100 mile/day commute and will be until I can get the car sorted elsewhere. I was planning to trade in for a newer vehicle at John Grose this year, no chance now.
