Horrifying and shocking
Horrifying and shocking. My father passed away and my gym membership was in his name as he paid for it when I was 16 years old as I was not old enough to do so myself. I’m now 25, we haven’t missed one payment over all these years and it’s took 4 months to resolve changing the details now into my name and bank account. I did email them with my bank details before the next payment was due so it’s just inexcusable. It’s took many emails which were ignored and many phone calls and visits to my gym who also sent emails that were ignored which has been distressing at the worst time of my life when I’ve really needed the gym the most. They are still referring to me with my dads name despite me telling them what has happened, texting my phone number from my dads mobile number and will not allow my membership to start now for another month. I will have been without my membership for a total of 5 months, It’s just shocking that this was NO fault of my own and due to an awful event that has happened to me, they have not been accommodating at all and should really be ashamed to do this under the sensitive circumstances which were explained to them continuously.
