I am trying to cancel a Reliance water softener rental (that does not soften the water) A technician came to look at it looked at the dial and said it was working for a total 3 minutes no water test before the softner or after. I trusted his result and after a year my taps and countertops were covered in white calcium. I had my water tested and it came back totally hard and not softened. They want me to send my test results to them as proof the unit is not working but it is not up to me to share as they should have checked themselves.Reliance has said I did not give them a chance to fix the softener . I purchased a real softener and low and behold my water is 100% soft water. Now Reliance wants me to buy out their substandard non working $500 unit for $1000.00. Why would I rent monthly ($29.99) a softner unit that does not work and was told it worked. Total scamming company. Stay away from their lies and deceipt. STAY FAR AWAY FROM RELIANCE there are far more reputable companies to deal with.
