My experience starting Mounjaro
I started my mounjaro treatment with Lloyds Pharmacy in January. I was very apprehensive about it all so wanted to use a reputable company. I must say that the initial consultation was extremely thorough and professional. My ID and weight were checked by my doing an online video direct to them. I did find this a bit tricky as you only have a certain amount of time to complete but that was just me. The ordering process is simple and my first pen arrived by Evri after 24 hours. They include 4 needles and sterets with each pen. I think that the way they monitor your weight loss and discuss any side affects is also very thorough. Everything is done online - you don’t actually speak to anyone - but you select if you need to message the doctor specifically and you get a response almost immediately. They have nutritional advice available if needed too. My transition from 2.5mg to 5 mg was easy. I have lost 1 stone 8 lbs in 6 weeks and have not felt this good in years. The only problem is the cost! I begrudge paying for it as both my GP and Consultant Cardiologist recommended that I have it but neither were able to prescribe it on the NHS I have transferred to my local pharmacy as they run a system which is a bit cheaper but I can’t recommend Lloyds highly enough.
