Pretty painless process and quick payment
I've just sold my car with The Car Buying Group. The whole thing was pretty painless. Process went like this: I submitted a few details online about my car and got a call back from one of sales team. I had to explain a bit about the car (relatively easy stuff) as well as the condition the car was in. I got a call back a short while later (after the sales team had spoken to the valuation team) with an offer and to arrange a day for collection. I was then asked to send some photos of the car to see if my description of the damage matched the reality (to ensure the valuation was still valid). Later that week somebody came to collect my car (a middleman was used for this). I had made sure my car wasn't a tip before the car was collected, but I hadn't done a particularly thorough clean of inside or out, and this didn't matter. The middleman checked the car over (looking for any body damage as well as turning the car on to check for any warning lights) and they sent a few photos to The Car Buying Group. Somebody there checked over those photos just to check there hadn't been any changes from the photos I had sent earlier in the week. I got a call back about 15 mins later (whilst the middleman was still there) confirming that my offer still stood. I accepted, and I was then sent through a payment link where I just had to enter a few bank details. After about 5 mins of submitting that I got a call to say the payment had been sent, and the payment was in my account about a minute after that. The car was then taken away. It's probably a bit more effort than selling to WBAC, but I was offered my money by the Car Buying Group. I don't think the extra bits I had to do to sell (taking some photos and answering a few phonecalls) were so time-consuming that it would put me off from doing this again. I think if you're honest about the description of your car then you shouldn't run into problems when the car's collected. Overall, would recommend.
